Slides dated 1959 through 1961
plus outliers from 1962, 1965, 1966
This is the earliest box of slides
but there is evidence for multiple
rearrangements. There are 2 distinct
indexes (one on each side of the
paper insert). Also the slot numbers
handwritten on the slides do not all
match the physical locations.
Many slots are empty and those slides
are either moved to a different box
or have been lost.
Text written on the slides was copied
into the Image_nnnn_text.txt files.
Information [within square brackets]
was added during curation. Notations
in the form MAY 66 are the date stamps
applied during film processing and so
should always be at or later than the

Slides are dated 1960 to 1975
but primarily 1962 through 1966
As with Box 1 the slides are not all filed
according to the index sheet in the box.
In addition, two groups of slides were set
sideways (not in the slots). These are images
160-170 and 174-180. Many of these slides are
roll-ends that were not mounted by the
company that processed the film (and so do
not have process date stamps) but some are
just strays.
