building from earlier work with Oracle database on AIX (IBM's Unix).

Support for the healthcare data project:
Developed an intranet site for training analysts about healthcare claims.
Implemented ancillary infrastructure for program repository,
interface with Concurrent Version System (CVS),
batch runtime environments, job scheduling interface with LoadLeveler, etc.

Support for RationalMed® product (3/1998 - 7/1999): Productionized
importing and filtering of drug, medical, and hospital claims from clients
for drug utilization review system using C and DCL on DEC VMS. Authored
intranet training and reference site for analysts transferring to this
project.
- Supported vision benefit management application (4/1997 - 3/1998) using
SQL/COBOL and DB2/400 RDBMS on IBM AS/400. Designed DB/2 tables and
integrated DB/2 database maintenance with documentation kept in Oracle
Designer 2000.

interactive and batch services, billing, interfaces to accept
registration and charge data, electronic data interchange (EDI)
for remittance (X12.835) and claims (X12.837). Supported human
resources, accounting, surgical services, and other areas.
- Responsible for application interfaces to database and
operating system. Designed software integrating Windows and
AS/400 emulation into a single interactive application for
medical coding.
Set security standards and programs for security administration
on the AS/400 (including interchange of data with Netware NDS).
- Created an application menu system and on-line user guide.
Wrote operator interface, job scheduling, automated
program documentation (from the CL, COBOL, and RPG source
code), project and time tracking, and application management.
- Upgraded operations staff to handle security implementation,
configuration changes, ad hoc reporting, first-line problem
determination.
- Converted applications from IBM System/36 to System/38.
Coordinated conversion from System/38 to AS/400. Also set up
a plan which would have allowed conversion to DEC VMS.
