Out of the depth I cry to you;
Creator, hear my word!
Oh, let your ears attentive be
when I cry to my Lord.
Do not, my Lord, record my sin
for I sin ev'ry day.
Give back instead the debt I owe
and I shall give you praise.
I wait for God, my soul will wait,
and in God's word I hope.
I am more eager for the Lord
than watchmen for the morn.
O Is·ra·el, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord is love.
God will redeem his people now
and bring us safely home.
